Succeed in leadership by bringing your best self to work — not by giving your whole self to work.
Career success without compromise.
You poured the glass of wine you promised yourself you wouldn’t. The laptop is open past 9pm again. And underneath the tiredness, the nagging thought: “If this is what it takes to lead — is it actually worth it?”
Here’s what’s worth knowing: it doesn’t have to cost this much. The exhaustion isn’t the price of leadership. It’s the sign of a way of working that’s reached its limit, and that can be changed.
You’re not failing. You’ve outgrown the way of working that got you here.
Think about what made you successful. The reliability. The eye for detail. The version of you that’s always available, always says yes, never drops a ball — and quietly does the unglamorous work nobody else volunteers for. That worked. For years, it worked brilliantly. It’s the reason you were promoted.
But the rules changed when you stepped into leadership, and nobody told you. The job now is to lead — to develop people, think strategically, exercise judgement. And there’s no room to do any of it well, because you’re still doing everything you did before as well as the leadership: in the gaps, in the evenings, on the weekends.
So it isn’t that you’re not working hard enough. You’re working hard at a job that feels like it has become two jobs — and no amount of organising fixes a role that’s doubled.
This was never a productivity problem.
You’ve started to wonder if something is wrong with you — because everyone around you seems to manage, and you’ve tried everything sensible. The productivity systems. The apps. The earlier alarm. They work for two or three weeks, then a hard week hits and they’re gone.
You can’t organise your way out of this, because the issue isn’t your calendar. It’s the beliefs running underneath it — that your worth depends on what you produce, that saying no means letting people down, that if you don’t do it, it won’t be done properly. No productivity hack touches that layer. Which is exactly why the things you’ve tried so far have failed you.
Most coaching hands you tactics. Tactics are exactly what’s already failed you.
A tactic is a thing you do — a system, a habit, a way of blocking your calendar. Tactics work right up until work gets hard. Then the willpower holding them in place runs out, and they slide off.
The Leadership Reset works at a deeper layer: the stories beneath the behaviours. Underneath the overwork is a belief that your worth is measured by what you produce. Underneath the inability to let go is a belief that anything less than excellent is a reflection of you. These aren’t flaws — they’re the beliefs that made you successful. But they’re now the exact things keeping you stuck.
Once the story changes, the behaviour doesn’t need willpower to hold. It just changes — and it lasts.
What if leadership didn’t have to cost this much?
Same firm. Same role. Same team. Only the way you work has changed.
- You wake before the alarm and notice the knot in your stomach isn’t there. You don’t reach for your phone.
- The day ahead has gaps in it – deliberate white space – so you walk into your first meeting prepared, and the calm you feel is real, not performed.
- When you hand something over, it actually leaves. Not just your desk, but your head. You make a decision and let it go.
- When something genuinely isn’t your priority, you say no. No apology spiral, no guilt tax.
- At six o’clock you leave. You don’t open your laptop again. The evening is genuinely yours.
None of that is a fantasy version of you. It’s the same you, running a different way of working, and that is exactly what we build together.
The Leadership Reset
A 12-week, one-to-one coaching programme for leaders who want to succeed and have a life.
It isn’t a course or training. There are no modules to get through, no generic system to force yourself into. It’s a rebuild of how you lead — working at the level of the beliefs underneath the behaviour, so the changes hold without willpower and last well beyond the twelve weeks.
How it works
The two-week gap is where the real work happens — you put each shift into practice with your actual team, so the next session builds on something that genuinely moved.
A direct line for the moments in between the calls. This can provide a quick reset before a hard conversation, a pointer or perspective when you need one, without needing to wait for our next coaching call.
Some coaching is based solely on reflective questions. Here, you work directly with a coach who has also been a senior leader, and isn’t afraid to provide advice when it’s needed.
A bonus 60-minute follow-up call, one month after the programme ends — to check your progress, troubleshoot anything that’s drifted, and make sure the changes have truly held. Available as a bonus to those who know already that this is for them, and don’t need the discovery call to commit to the programme.
Small, concrete, and fast enough to prove the road is real.
One client, a parent of two small children, had been working online until almost midnight. By our second session, the late nights had stopped.
Another built a new system for how his team brought him work. He got three months ahead on his client pipeline, freeing real time to get back into the market.
Another had been dragging herself out of bed at 4:30am to exercise. We changed the routine that forced that, now she fits in a morning walk without it being a chore.
From the people I’ve worked with
My team love the new system we put in place. It’s changed the way we work, and they’re no longer waiting around for my review.
I don’t think I would have got my promotion this year without your guidance.
I’ve worked this way for so long I didn’t believe there was another way that would work for me and my job. I think you might have just changed my life.
The Leadership Reset is built for a particular person.
This is for you if…
- ✓You’re in a mid to senior leadership role in a corporate or professional services environment — accounting, consulting, law, or similar.
- ✓You’ve tried to create time and space in your day, but the changes never seem to stick.
- ✓You care about your career and want to keep climbing. You’re looking for a better way to do it, not an exit.
- ✓You’re willing to put what you learn into practice between sessions.
This is not for you if…
- ×You work in a non-corporate role.
- ×You’re at the very start of your career with little corporate experience.
- ×You’d rather complain about your situation than try something new to change it.
Hi, I’m Christine
I’m an executive coach with over 20 years of experience in Big 4 consulting, including more than a decade at Director and Partner level. I’m not coaching you from theory; I know what it is to have more on your to-do list than any human could finish, and I’ve felt the edge of burnout myself while trying to do exactly that.
I also know what’s on the other side. And I know the way through isn’t working harder or organising better, it’s changing the patterns underneath.
My mission is simple: to help leaders climb the ladder and succeed in their roles without sacrificing their personal lives to do it.
You’ve been let down before.
You’ve been let down by systems that didn’t hold, by promises that didn’t deliver. So a hesitation here is reasonable.
You can start without betting everything on it. If, after your first call, you decide this isn’t right for you, you’re entitled to a pro-rata refund of the remaining sessions, less a small administration fee. You’ll have a genuine experience of the work before you’re fully committed.
The harder question isn’t the cost of saying yes. It’s the cost of another year of saying not yet; another year of evenings lost, of being half-present at home, of waiting for things to calm down when you already know they won’t. The investment in this programme is fixed. The cost of changing nothing is open-ended, and it’s paid in the things you can’t buy back.
